Yu Wang is an Associate Professor of computer science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2004, his B.Eng. degree and M.Eng. degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, China, in 1998 and 2000. His research interest includes wireless networks, ad hoc and sensor networks, mobile computing, complex networks, and algorithm design. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He has served as program chair, publicity chair, and program committee member for several international conferences (such as IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE IPCCC, IEEE GLOBECOM, IEEE ICC, IEEE MASS, etc.). He is a recipient of Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards from Oak Ridge Associated Universities in 2006 and a recipient of Outstanding Faculty Research Award from College of Computing and Informatics at UNC Charlotte in 2008. He is a senior member of the ACM, IEEE, and IEEE Communications Society.
